We have a whole blog on what lube to use with silicone sex toys if you want an in-depth explanation, but we’ll summarise here. Xlube is the gold standard. It reduces friction and provides more glide than any other lube. It also dries out far slower than other lubes, meaning you have to stop to reapply less frequently. 

Silicone lube is also acceptable, but will stick to our toys incredibly well. You will need to make sure to wash your toy thoroughly with soap after use. 

For toys as big as ours, we do not recommend standard water-based lube. While usable in a pinch, you will have a much more enjoyable time using the lubes mentioned above.

Your platinum silicone toys can be easily hand washed with simple warm water and soap. Ideally clean the toys straight after use, but if there’s any dried fluids or excess lube, simply rub this off with your hands. Avoid brushes or anything similarly harsh that may damage the toy. 

It’s not necessary to heat sanitise platinum silicone toys, as they’re non-porous, but you may occasionally want to do this for your own piece of mind - especially if using the toy with different partners. In this case, bring a pot of water to boil and place your toy for around eight to ten minutes. Don’t worry about damaging your toy, platinum silicone can take the heat!  

Platinum silicone can be used on a ‘sanitise’ setting in a dishwasher! Please be careful not to use detergent or dish washer tablets. These are strong cleaners and could damage your toy.

We know a thing or two about taking big toys. We’ve written a comprehensive guide on how to take bigger toys that we recommend reading, but we’ll pick out a couple of points here.

Besides picking the right lube, lube applicators can be a big help. These medical devices help by lubing up areas you simply cannot lube yourself. As a bonus, the extra lube inside you will keep the toy good and lubed up with each thrust, with less need to stop and reapply. 

Consider warming up your toys with warm water. Your hole and insides aren’t room temperature, and a cold foreign object can be a bit of a shock to the system.

Our toys use the vac-u-lock system for system for suction cups. Press down on your toy to force air out of the cup and create a vacuum seal. If you’re still struggling with the cup, here’s a few tips: 

• Wipe the surface down before sticking the toy, dust can interfere with the vacuum seal. 
• Avoid rough textured surfaces, these will also hamper the seal. 
• Try wetting the edges of your suction cup - the water molecules will help fill any tiny gaps in your seal. 
• Warm your suction cup up to become less rigid.
